This is a one-person retreat and production factory for an expert in the digital knowledge economy. The cosmopolitan internet-worker rediscovers herself suddenly as a rural dweller. This allows for a series of inversions. The first inversion reverses the public-private gradient between the exterior and the interior: here, one can live in full transparency to the surrounding nature. A second inversion uproots the house. There are no roots here. The house cantilevers and floats. Esuoh House is composed of six large concrete triangles which form the colossal upper mass, three highly composed wooden vierendeel beams which span and support them, and two concrete cylinders which support above mentioned elements.
